The Bloody Bathroom

(Annonymously Submitted)

My partner and I bought our first home in the early ‘90s.  It was a lovely new home in a small homeowner’s association with a small grove of orange trees in the backyard and along the side of the house.  As a gardener, I felt like I’d found my Shangri La.
During the first winter in our home the orange trees in the backyard and along the side of the house started to die.  At the same time I noticed that our dogs seemed uncomfortable on the side of the house where our bathrooms and bedrooms were situated.  There also seemed to be a constant coppery smell in the area, but we could never find a source.

That Christmas we became friends with a woman who was developing her skill as a medium and energy worker.  We asked her what could be happening with the energy on that side of our house.  She spent a few minutes walking through the rooms and quietly connecting with the energy of the space.  She told us that the property had been part of a farm and the area where our bedrooms and bathrooms were now located was originally used by the farmer to slaughter his animals.  She described him as a stocky man in his late 60s in coveralls saturated in blood.

We later met someone in the older part of the neighborhood who lived in the area when the land was still a farm.  Without prompting she told us that Hank slaughtered his animals in the barn, which used to stand where we now lived.
